The Best EV Cars Coming In 2024

With the world being forced into the EV world and it’s something that will probably happen in our lifetime, we thought it would be a good idea to see what awaits us and it’s not all that bad.

Volvo EX90

Volvo’s brand Polestar has history in making great EV cars but this will be the first fully electric car to have the Volvo badge. The new EX90 wil come with two optional powertrains, one with 402hp output and the bigger more expensive twin motor with 510hp. The usable battery will allow for 360-370 miles

Range Rover Electric

Land Rover has made the plunge and will be releasing a fully electric version of their big boy range rover. They have also hinted that it will rival the full blown V8 version in terms of power output, so expect around 500hp. Due to the size of the range this should allow the Land Rover to fit a 100 kWh battery which should be capable of a range over 300 miles.

Porsche Macan

The new Porsche Macan will arrive with a choice of two four-wheel-drive variants the 402bhp Macan 4 and the 630bhp Macan Turbo. Both variants come with a 95 kWh battery, whilst the turbo version gets a 228hp boost from the battery over short periods of overboost. Both cars have impressive range figures with the more powerful turbo version achieving over 360 miles of range and the Macan 4 getting just over 380

Lotus Emeya

The first non SUV EV on the list is a seriously impressive one from the lads out of Norwich. Lotus’s all new EV Super Saloon the Emeya will be able to produce over 900hp in it’s range topping trim level. At just over £90k and with some extremely impressive performance figures it is clearly built to rival the taycan and take on the German giants, with a range of just under 380 miles it certainly has all the right ingredients to make a great recipe.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 N

The Iqoniq 5 N is possibly the most exciting EV coming out this year, With the N division already pumping out some great cars the Ioniq truly deserves the N badge. For the normal A-B drivers it could be mistaken as just an affordable electric Hyundai but underneath it actually packs over 640hp making it one of the most exciting coming out in 2024. With a range of 195 miles it’s not the most efficient but who cares.

Canoo Pickup Truck

Although it’s not confirmed if the Canoo Pickup is coming to the UK, I don’t care, this car is cool so it’s going on the list! Although not much has been released it will do over 200 miles on a full charge and the 4wd version is going to have over 500 hp and at £40,000 it’s a steal. Fingers crossed it finds its way over the atlantic.
