The Scorpion Half Exhaust system typically consists of a combination of a rear silencer and a centre pipe, which replaces the original exhaust components located after the Catalytic Converter. In newer vehicles with stricter emissions regulations, the Half Exhaust system replaces the Gasoline Particulate Filter (GPF) from a midpoint towards the rear of the vehicle. However, some systems may require modification of the original equipment (OE) system, including cutting and adaptors to create a new connection point.
Half Exhaust systems are designed to simplify exhaust modifications while maintaining essential emissions control components, resulting in improved engine performance and a sportier exhaust note. This approach allows vehicles to retain OE exhaust approval/certification, which often eliminates the need for vehicle remapping to pass MOT tests.
