EBC Racing’s RP‑1 compound brake pads (DP82130RP1) are engineered for ultra-high performance track use, delivering stable and consistent braking under the most demanding conditions. With a high and linear friction coefficient of 0.45μ up to and beyond 750°C, RP-1 pads are ideal for BMW M Lite and M cars being pushed hard on circuit.
Unlike many race pads that suffer from aggressive bite and excessive disc wear, RP-1 offers progressive pedal feel, exceptional modulation, and impressively low rotor wear – making them a preferred choice for drivers looking to balance outright stopping power with long-term durability. While RP‑1 is not Reg 90 approved for street use within Europe, it is suitable for road use in markets where this certification is not mandatory.
Compared to EBC’s RP-X compound, RP‑1 offers a 25% lower friction profile, making it better suited to lighter cars, standard braking systems, or vehicles without ABS.
