Bring modern digital monitoring to your classic BMW E28 5 Series (LHD only) with the CANchecked MFD28 Gen2. This advanced 2.8" TFT capacitive touchscreen display delivers real-time engine data, sensor values, and customisable layouts in a compact, OEM-style package designed to integrate seamlessly into your interior.
Constructed with a high-quality milled aluminium front frame, the MFD28 is built for durability and style. Its symmetrical design allows for full 90° rotation, letting you choose portrait or landscape orientation depending on your preference and installation space.
The unit supports up to 128 sensors via CAN Bus and internal channels, plus 4 analogue 0–5V inputs for additional sensors such as oil pressure, boost pressure, fuel pressure, or exhaust gas temperature. With up to 10 configurable pages and 64 widgets per page, you can fully tailor your display using the DSS (Display Setup Software).
Compatible with ISO 11898-2 and SAE J2284 standards, the MFD28 communicates seamlessly with factory and aftermarket ECUs. It supports protocols such as UDS, KWP2000, OBD, TP2.0, and even standalone ECUs. An optional external shift light and CAN Bus Switching functionality add further expandability. For advanced users, the built-in CAN Bus Logger allows for in-depth analysis and reverse engineering of unknown CAN networks.
Compact installation dimensions of 70.3 x 52mm ensure an easy fitment, while the supplied front-mounted Torx screws guarantee a secure, clean finish.
